Can I do my own Canola Tour?
Yes, you can explore the Cowra canola region by car and enjoy the beautiful yellow fields at your own pace.

However, please stay on public roads and respect private property. Canola paddocks are working farms, so please do not enter paddocks, walk through crops or stop in unsafe locations to take photos.

It’s also important to remember that farms can carry biosecurity risks. Vehicles, footwear and visitors can unintentionally introduce weeds, pests or diseases onto properties and crops.

Our guided Canola Tours offer a safe and informative way to experience the canola landscape, with local stories, insights into farming and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery without impacting working farms.

What are the Cowra History Tours about?
Our Cowra History Tours explore some of the stories that have shaped the region, including the Cowra Breakout, the POW Camp, peace and reconciliation, and Cowra's broader regional heritage. The tours are led by local historian Lawrance Ryan and provide an opportunity to experience Cowra through the eyes of someone deeply connected to its history. Please contact us for more information.
